This unique rhinoceros conservation is located in Sungai Dusun, Hulu Selangor. Its major focus is the breeding of the Sumatran Rhino ( Dicerorhinos Sumatrensis ) in captivity. The rhinoceros is a protected animal in Malaysia. This species of rhinoceros is the smallest among the five surviving species of rhinoceroses in the world today. The rhino has become one of the rarest and most endangered species among large mammals.

By Road Sungai Dusun is located about 1 1/2 hours from Kuala Lumpur. Take the North-South Expressway and head North towards Ipoh. Exit at Behrang(exit 124), which is about 80km from KL toll. Just follow signs to Sungai Besar till you see a signboard indicating turn-off to the sanctuary. |
